[BadPanda071] Venice – Animals, Stars & Other Psychedelic Creatures
Rome-based Gomma recording artist, Venice offer you this monday a healthy dose of psychedelia. His brand new concept mini-EP entitled Animals, Stars & Other Psychedelic Creatures was premiered on the Red Bull Music Academy blog few days ago and officially released today.

1. New Earth [mp3] [ogg]
“It’s about Lava, rocks and earth. It’s about creation of the universe, from the big bang to the very early days of the planet. You can hear old archaic chants and screams in there (it’s actually me). Slowly, everything proceeds, everything is forming, but each passing second represents actually millions of years.
02. Leaving This Place [mp3] [ogg]
“It’s about an escape. We don’t know who is following who. Creatures, maybe. Or maybe something else, or someone else. Certainly, it is not anything human. The track is divided into two parts. One is the escape and the other is the relief. Could also be death, or could be peace, but either way, it’s the other side.
03. 30th Century [mp3] [ogg]
“It’s about time, time collapsing in it self. We have the past because it’s really similar to the origins, but it seems all is set in the future. Everything remains attached to the roots of creation.
“The cover could look very trashy at first sight (and probably it is!). But there is an idea behind it too. There are animals, there are stars all together, and this is really ordinary. But the un-ordinary is represented by the ring-glass. It might be the psychedelic element that changes all the ordinary reality to something else. It’s like special glasses that you put in on when you want to see “beyond”…”
