[BadPanda119] LIFE & LIMB with Saroos – Mirrored Selves

LIFE & LIMB is the new project of Andrea Mangia (aka Populous) and NY-based Mike McGuire (aka Short Stories). Taking their name from a Fugazi track, their music is instead focused on chillwave and glo-fi sounds. They recently remixed His Clancyness and are now working on their debut LP. 

Berlin-Munich based trio Saroos is comprised of a diverse lineup of talented individuals from different sonic backgrounds, from bands such as Iso60 (jazz and experimental – read Florian Zimmer), Lali Puna/Console (experimental pop – Cristoph Brandner) and the Notwist (Max Punktezahl). Obsessed with sound as particles in motion, they describe their sounds as exotica gone even wilder — abstract and shadowy or dub in reverse, where solid grooves emerge from skronk and noise. Their last album was produced by Odd Nosdam and released via Anticon in the US and on the Notwist’s Alien Transistor everywhere else (and you can still download a free track via XLR8R).

Saroos: Discovered lots of good new labels and it is good to see people continue releasing music – generally exciting how (pop) culture will develop with all the music that can now be wasily be available via Spotify, etc
Life&Limb: Very very very disheartening, over-saturated, soulless & corrupt.
