Update: New EP (with the free track Fruit Of Love)
The song is distributed under a Creative Commons License: CC-BY-NC-SA-3.0
Inspired and influenced by musicians like Jean-Michel Jarre, Air, Sigur Ros, Kraftwerk and Ennio Morricone, Cj (or Composer Jockey) Lavoire is the last project by Italian Valerio Franchi.
As a child, Valerio had a classical education at the Saint Cecilia Conservatory, studying clarinet and obtaining a solfège degree and then developed a strong interest for choral music (Josquin Desprez) under the guide of maestro Claudio Dall’Albero.
During his studies at the conservatory, Valerio started for fun to compose popular music with surreal-grotesque lyrics à la Frank Zappa and Elio e le storie tese, winning a competition launched by a show on Italian Radio2.
Then, hypnotized by Jarre’s Oxygene IV Penguins, he went deep into electronic music experimenting a peculiar kind of music and playing around the colour of sounds and its shade.
Incredibly prolific and making music under many different aliases, his production seem to shift each album, from very minimal tonal processing to ambient soundtrack and more loop-based instrumental stuff.
He has also written original works for theatre and several short films. He is currently preparing his live set and planning to tour again Italy on spring.

[BadPanda001] Andy & Muzz – Hands to the Ground
So Here We Are!
Our first release is by english Andy & Muzz, placed in the Air France (Pitchfork) guest list for the best songs of 2008. This is what Bad Panda sounds like.
Andy & Muzz – Hands To The Ground [mp3] [ogg]
The song is distributed under a Creative Commons License: CC-BY-NC-SA-3.0
“Andy and Muzz” are a musical duo based in London.
They met in 2005.
Inspired by watching sunrises over Regents Park, they started making music around 2006.
After a whole year they managed to make a grand total of 3 songs (Lights when I close my eyes, Wooden Blocks and Hands to the Ground), gaining much critical praise. “Like eating chocolate orange through your ears” was just one of the things people were saying about them.
Unable to cope with the pressures of making a song once every blue moon and constantly not touring, in late 2007, Andy fled to Argentina to turn his hand to the Steel-Making trade. Muzz remained in London, to wander aimlessly along the banks of the River Thames, acquainting himself with the murky water and the murky characters that populated London at the time.
After a year, exhausted from hammering steel 12 hours a day for 1 solitary peso a week, Andy returned to London and “Andy and Muzz” reformed. Now more prolific then ever (2 songs every blue moon) Andy and Muzz are currently working on their debut LP.
