[BadPanda068] 1-Speed Bike – This Country Is Torture

We are cute pandas. But we have big guns. We are friendly animals. But we are pissed with the world we are living. And we want many, many things to end soon.

We’re happy to bring you a new song from 1-Speed Bike, alter-ego of Aidan Girt, drummer for Montreal-based bands Exhaust and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

1-Speed Bike (or sometime OSB or Bottleskup Flenkenkenmike) went on to build a large sample bank sourced from his own live drumming and made a full-length album (Droopy Butt Begone!) for Constellation in 2000. He has also moshed things up at numerous street actions and benefits over the years, and went on to release a series of records on Broklyn Beats.

His last album Pashto Translator Needed came out in the January 2010 and it is free to download on his bandcamp meanwhile “This Country Is Torture” arrived at the headquarter on a cd-r soaked with a classic mix of rage and humor… another reminder for us, “trapped in the belly of this horrible machine”.
